Zorin OS 15.3 is based on the Ubuntu 18.04.5 LTS release made in August. This comes with a new Linux kernel (courtesy of Ubuntu’s Hardware Enablement stack) that gives users better system performance, greater security, and improved hardware compatibility.

The latest Firefox is present, as is the recent LibreOffice 6.4.6 point release (but alas not the newest LibreOffice 7.0), and there’s an updated version of the phone-integration suite Zorin Connect included for good measure.
To date, Zorin OS 15 has been downloaded over 1.7 million times since it launched back in June 2019 — a figure that’s only going to rise with a new version available.
What’s next for this user-friendly Ubuntu-based Linux distro? Zorin OS 16. No fit release date for Zorin OS 16 has been revealed but devs are aiming to get it out by the end of this year — so keep an eye on omg! for more news on it as and when we know it.
Download Zorin OS 15.3
Zorin OS 15.3 is available to download in two versions: a free (‘Core’) edition and a paid (‘Ultimate’) edition. The paid version costs €39 and includes more pre-installed software, 20 games, and some additional desktop layouts.
Anyone using Zorin OS 15 can upgrade to Zorin OS 15.3 by installing any and all updates shown in the Software Updater utility.
An updated version of Zorin OS 15 Lite — this is an Xfce-based edition respin aimed at low spec devices — is available to download from today via the Zorin OS website.
